Yea you will find it will run out off puff around 5k revs, like its non turbo.. turbo is too small and cant flow enough for the 2.5.. the good side of 2.5 is it makes power and torque so easy, flip side is that this means everything needs upgrading quicker..
Not sure of your spec, but if you have a fmic or sti8 tmic, 550 up injectors.. and at least a tdo5 20g, md321h etc etc you are looking at around 400bhp/400 torque.. be carefull when it comes to a turbo as i found the 20g seemed to run out of puff a bit aswell on 2.5.. i went for a Td06 49lb.. from FORCED PERFORMANCE... Thay saw around 420/420 on 1.5bar and had a wee bit left and maybe even 20bhp/20ft/lbs more if i had of used a 10% meth/fuel mix

I liked the way the 20g running out of puff encouraged you to change up a gear rather than over rev her!

Ali is the man i will be using in the near future, a true gent with a wealth of experience. Good luck with your new project.

the ej25 is out of a classic scooby ill need to get 600 injectors a fmic a simtec or fc ecu and either a tdo6 or a gt30 turbo should be sorted then id be happy between 400-450 mark

may as well get the 740cc injectors if looking for over the 400bhp mark ger.
prob be in and around the same price anyway

You will probably have to look at using ecu that doesnt use AFM like Simtec etc etc, as at around 400 or after the AFM cant read the airflow..
Only American Classics had a 2.5 as standard.
Need a good clutch aswell to hold the torque, and once your at 400, the Type r box will be starting to count down its life expectantcy...
Seriously have a good think of what you want, as the jump from 380bhp to 400+ can be a very expensive one, and not maybe worth it
