Exhausts

I'm looking to take my exhausts back box off to give it a clean to try and get the shine back up on it. When you take them off are there any gaskets or anything that have to be replaced when i'm refitting it or is it just a matter of tightening the bolts back up again to fit it.

Can a DW40 to loosen things good and nice, clean and dry your exhaust.

Tub of exhaust paste would help, rub on the box section as you slide it back into the main exhaust.

Should do the job.

THINNERS and tar remover did the trick for me when i had it off

I cleaned the mongoose system on my corolla with some Auto Glym bodywork shampoo which shifted most of the grime and the tar remover got rid off the rest.

autoglym metal polish in halfords for 7 euro is the job mark!!!!!!
straight forward job...

Hi yes there is a gasket. It may or may not be re-usable. Won't know til you take it of. So best getting one.

what i use on mine is a brillo pad and hot water it does the job fine
