Im a tugboatin gobsheen. Do ya reckon there will be many of our gardai friends down by punchestown at the weekend? Just realised my tax is out since the end of July. Defo didn't get a reminder letter. I know it's up to the Garda at the time as to what leniency there is but i don't wanna be the one gettin his motor taken off him on an official club event!
 
i reckon that the guards will be everywhere for the world record event but doubt they will be checking for tax, just making sure everything goes safe and smooth
 
you will be grand man worse they can do is give ya a fine but i doubt they will even look at it and they cant take it unless its out of tax over 3 months
 
na guards wont be 2 bothered about tax..fly down police station get the off d road form get it stamped snd hayy days 4 a month,thats how i done my evo 4 5 months still no tax..station 2 station each month

You have two months grace, i taught it was three, but as the gaurd who took
my car :wall: :angry1: explained no two months thats as much as you get , :thumbsup:
 
just get form stamped and signed,its only back on d road that day.if u get stopped just say ull get it taxed durin d week its ok i bet u
 
Stamped form only does from one month to another not part of. Done it for years on me old cars. Would be grand if. I was over the month

I do always behave. Cheers lads wouldn't miss it for the world.just didn't want to let the side down by knowingly going down with no tax and guards being dicks like some of them( not all by any means) can be
 
I thought this "grace" period for out of date tax was gone now?

Can be done online now, no excuses like waiting for it in the post etc etc etc
 
True But ya need the pin which comes on the reminder letter to do it online. Defo didn't get it. Will be done first thing Monday when I get to the tax office
 
often came to check points with tax out by 3 or 4 weeks and never said a thing , tell em the car has been off the road for last few weeks and you applied for tax few days ago
