Sunday Drivers
Hey Guys,
anyone know where i can sort out my emmissions for the NCT, have to get this sorted asap to produce details in Garda station? :hammerhead:
Cheers

did you give her a spirited drive on the way to the nct? thats what iv always been told to do, never failed on emissions before! failing that there is a few products you can buy ( some are good some are sh!te) depending on how high your readings were! not sure what there called but in sure someone will be along shortly with an answer for you.

Just had a full service mate,
think the lad was a bit confused because it was putting out 0.00% CO2
but is there not anywhere i can bring this for a diagnostic or something????

hey put up the readings of the nct, and a lot of the lads have probly seing the results before, easier to help

post your failure results- my legacy had failed on emmissions very recently
cost 600 quid to get it ready for new test -new o2 sensor and air flow meter
then it was stolen
might be able to give an insight

:ponder2: :ponder2:

Thats the one i know of two people who had there cars (not subaru) fail on emissions they went out and bought some Diptane in there local motor factors put some in and hey presto NCT pass next time

alright lads, here it is attached,
just incase its hard to read, limits depend on Year of Manufacture
engine/oil temp 94 C
Low idle CO 0.00% above 0.5% fail PASS
(940 rpm) HC 0ppm above 0 ppm fail n/A

High Idle Lambda: 1.099 between 0.98 and 1.02 fail/REFUSAL
(2790 rpm) CO 0.00% above 0.3% fail PASS
HC 11 ppm above 200pm fail PASS

Appreciate help lads, haven't a clue

Diptane is your only man! Pour half a bottle into a full tank, have the engine nice and warmed up

Before it go's in for the test. Should pass with flying colours.

hey, hope fully the dipetain works.... but usually when your lambda is that high on high revs you would be looking at cat or and lambda, and when you put the dipetain in dont come out of second gear and give it absolute socks its the only way to clean the system

Alright guys the NCT is rebooked for this Sunday....

so fingers crossed the Diptain works, to be honest its worth the risk, retest is €27.50...

if it does'nt it'll be prob a €500 job replacing the sensors.... :icon_cry:

so if anyone see's a navy classic ripping around the place on Sunday, its me :xmas_cheers:
