my legacy failed the nct last nite all the bushes need to be replaced any idea who would have these
worst thing is behind the rear bumper might be a slam panel is totally rusted i mean bad hoping its a bolt on section cause i could prob get 1 in breakers
im so pxxsed off just changed pads all round and new shocks thought it would pass
ruff guess on price for bushes?

take a look at the traders section man , they be the best men to be askin , give ya good idea of what ya need and cost etc ! couple of cars for broken for parts within the club 2 so you might be lucky and get that panel your lookin for 2 , good luck gettin her sorted !

Alright man surely they were more explanatory on exactly what bushes needed
to bo changed its a bit of a broad statement them saying all bushes need to be
changed ive a 96 impreza and didnt need to change any, ive a 150kms on the
clock, id say if they said that there mistaken mine have cracks but are not broken
and thats what there looking for, as for changing all id say it could be ok price wise
but there could be some like trailing arm bushes witch can be pricey but general
things like roll bar bushes should be cheap enough

Good to run into you down at Sandyford today mate....... The car looks MINT and very surprised it failed the NCT.... As I was sayin, Fit the new pannel at the back and WAXOIL the sh*t outta the underside of the car.... She is a UK import and i recon its going to suffer with Salt rust shortly (if not started already)

At least ya know what needs done and fixed now ya can concentrate on it :subaru:

failed nct heres report

heres what failed on my legacy

front anti-roll bar bushes & links worn both sides
rear anti-roll bar torque arm/rods worn both sides
rear break lines insecure i cable tied them to the shocks when i replaced them 2 years ago as the
brackets that hold them had being cut off it passed then no problem why fail now?
transmission cv boot insecure?not sure where this is
handbreak excessive leaver travel failed even though it has 41%performance it says less than 16%
is a fail.
advanced corrosion behind rear bumper it is bad and im hoping its a bolt on slam panel or something like that haven't had bumper off yet.
and rust on door sill which isnt bad at all never noticed it be4 its very small
any ideas on costs any traders who can help?its a 1999 bg5 model GT-B
i know whiteline do most of the parts but want to give isdc traders a chance first be4 i go ordering online from the uk.
cheers

clip must have come off on one of the cv boots!!!
make sure you dont get any rusty parts that failed sprayed car colour coz they have to see the repair incase you've just filled it with fibre glass or the like!!!!

what did you spend money on over the last few years ???
dont think you'll get whiteline stuff cheaper in ireland than uk...i checked for a good while before i bought all my gear online!!!

i probably will buy online gona start taking it apart on saturday
whiteline and powerflex do the parts i need bushes / torque arms etc prices seem ok once i get the bumper of il know more bout the rust looks like its a bolt on slam panel behind the bumper had a look today.over last 2 year i done
timing belt
cam seals
radiator
speed censor
alloys(old ones were leaking)
tyres
headlights rewired due to rad leaking on them be4 i bought it
rear shocks (sti ones on it now)
auto electrician bout four times cause whoever added the rear fogs used the centre brake lights as the fogs(in uk)and the governor screwed up everything had to have it removed as the car would just die while driving and few other bits just did front shocks and pads all round 2 weeks ago only had nct for a year didnt think it would fail this time.I still love it though.
