Just watching topgear now, On Sky plus so I can fast forward through all the Sh1te!
Anyway, in between all the Sh1te, the stig drove a new lightweight Boxster spider around the track,
And I really enjoyed the stigs lap, I am usually critical about these laps, (ie. letting the FQ400 come off boost ages ago and very gentle lap in the Bugatti)
But he drove the arse out of it, Fair play :thumbsup:

Don't get this post dan-the fq400 is a nightmare to drive-not even schumacher could keep one on boost,and the veyron sounds refined regardless as its essentially an auto. Look how he drove the carrera GT,or the CCX??? Not exactly gentle was it? Why would he treat anything any different? As for the Boxter-I had an 07 model here for the night a while back and from set points A-B the boxter was doing 165kph where the legacy was on the speed limiter at 180+.
 
It as a pretty good lap i thought.
Car looked really nicely balanced, no understeer, a little lift off and acceleration oversteer all the time.
Looked sweet!
 
You have to remember too that the Veyron was a privately owned car that was loaned to them for the test rather than the usual set up of demo cars being handed over by companies. Could you imagine the bill they would have if something like what happened the Koenigsegg happened again or perhaps even worse. IMO that factored into the way it was been driven too. Just my opinion though. :thumbsup:
 
New series of 5th gear starting tomorrow night so at least that should be good... Don't think i'll even bother watching top gear again
 
Better than the rest of the shite that does be on TV now a days.

What station does 5th gear be on.
 
New Fifth gear is on channel 5 i think, you have to add it to the "other channels" setting on your sky box,
Dunno what time the show is on.
 
I think 5th gear is still better, but they're starting to copy top gear I feel.

They're doing silly challenges and races now too.
I saw a repeat one last night with the Evo 10 vs Focus RS, where they had to fly around a few corners, handbrake turn and hit a football into a goal........wonder where they got that idea :ponder2:
