i spotted 2 cardboard cutouts on the way home of a garda car with a gun pointing out the window,

anyone else see them,they made every one slow down
 
Seen a few about before. Its only when you get right up to them that you can see its a fake!
 
they trialled them in canada last year .... seemed to work ...
until one drunk lad pulled up in a van and started to talk to the cutouts ..

I SHAT my pants passin that 1 yesterday..... 140kmh passin a row of cars (not even in the scooby was in my work car) when i passed a transit and seen it there.... nearly kissed it when i realised it was only a cutout.........

Damn things......
 
Just be careful ;) We have sometimes cutouts like these in Poland as well, but I remember I was driving once - seeing the cutout and right behind it the real police car and a guy with the radar in his hand :)
So even if you know there's only a cutout you can never feel too sure :)
 
the traffic corps just aren't cut out for that kind of work anyway, I'm sure they're just trying to paper over the cracks now!
