few questions...... clutch and mapping

Random Rs

Sunday Drivers
hi all, quick question, clutch is beginning to slip in my wagon, wondering what is best clutch out there that wont be massively breaking the bank but still be able to cope with power hikes in future?? car is standard 96 jap wrx wagon bar i just fitted full 3" turbo back with decat on her last week and i have noticed now the clutch is slipping more.......

Mapping:

can i get a piggyback or chip for my car as its running the JECS ecu im just looking for a little more power nothing major as the only mods will be front mount and full exhaust, id like to be able to drive her on a bit without fear of the big bang. preferably id like to up the boost a bit but still be safe, what kind of hp gains could i expect? would standalone be the way to go and if so whats best on a bit of a budget

cheers
Dan

Standard excedy clutch would be fine once your not looking for mad numbers . Stant alone would probley be best and cost the least. I have an apexi power fc v 1/2 for sale if your intrested . Theres loads of options depends what you want to spend

scoobysub what price is it and will it be straight forward fit into my wagon??

got a price of 490 delivered for an exedy paddle clutch which i was old should be good for 300ponies

Depends if your ecu is a 4 plug if it is then yes its a straight swap  regards the paddle clutch as some if the lads about them can be very harsh

Have a look in traders section re clutch.

I'm running slightly over 300hp and would tend to launch a fair bit and only changed clutch within the last year and no problems

Man I'm not being smart but a paddle clutch is overkill on a wrx a standard clutch will do or a stage 1 organic.
Putting a paddle clutch in will ruin the car imo

thats why i put it up dude :) i dont wanna be going big bucks for something i dont really need just something for fast road use and able to take a bit more once i go upping power a bit
