Filter Relocation

Anyone on here have their oil filter relocated??

Thinkin of doin this as i've been told that the oil gets filtered better when the filter is upside down :dunno:

ummmmhhhh upside down,taught GRAVITY would have worked better for filtration of the oil :dunno:

Thought that too but apparently the fact that the oil is being pumped up through a hose to the filter it works better :dunno: :dunno:

I heard something like that before Brian. Don't know anyone that has attempted it though!

Hers a link for some kits. Doesn't say anything about but i'd say if you dig a bit you'll find one somewhere.

I know a mechanic that is rebuidling his own impreza and he's relocating the filter for the above reason.

My yoke is goin away this week for the rebuild so considerin getting it done

I havefitted a g-rex oil cooler there few weeks ago along with the oil filter relocation kit. Deadly job!! I relocated the oil filter in the front drivers wing on its side and the oil cooler up front.
Easy enough to put upside down but if needed. My oil temp is much cooler now, Got the whole kit for €420 locally

was going to ask a simular quettion my self but for different reasons, on my 02 sti the filter is right next to the manifold and was worrying about the heat from the manifold thinning out the oil a mechanic friend of mine said he had the same prob on a corolla twin cam he put a bit of tin foil round the filter and the oil pressure shot up :dunno:
