Fitted Rear Brembo's...Finally

I finally got round to getting the bits together to fit the rear Red Brembo Calipers i bought off Dan(Forrester STI) nearly a year ago.
Bought them to match the Red Stoptech kit i put on the front.

Yeah big difference. Not as big a difference as when i did the front.
But in fairness, the old discs i took off the back had seen better days and were probably running OEM pads.
Where as now ive new bigger discs and Ferrodo DS2500 pads with the brembo rears. So its possible that new discs and ferrodo pads on the standard 2 pots would perform the same.
Strange thing is though, the Brembo calipers and the 316mm rear discs went on without the need of the conversion kit brackets or handbrake shoes.
Infact, the new shoes in the kit wouldnt fit, were smaller than the ones on my car and the inner diameter of the new disc where the handbrake shoes sit is the same as the discs i took off my car :dontknow:

Did you spray them red or did you fit EVO ones? :ponder2:

They look realy well. :subaru:

They came off Dan's Forrester. They must have been sprayed at some stage cos the odd scratch is showing Gold paint below the red.

Thats because you already had 2 pot rears, The kit is designed to fit 2 pot rears or brembos to smaller hubs, the oversized handbrake shoes are designed to fit larger hubbed discs on smaller hubs

Looks the dogs mate

Yeah Dan sprayed his when he first got his Porscha Brakes.

Very nice Job.

nice job matt, any type of upgrade in relation to brakes is allways a good idea, i didnt know that thses cars have shoes aswell as pads, ive never noticed them on my car :ponder2:

Cheers lads

@Scoobymaniac, thanks for the info. Didnt know that
Ill have to put the conversion kit up for sale.

@Mick, Yeah the Handbrake works as a drum brake inside the centre of the rear discs

Yeah they do the trick alright.
More balanced and planted under hard braking now compared to having the big brakes on the front only which used to make the car nose dive and become light at the rear.
Only done about 30km since i put them on so ill get out for a good spin in a while

How's thinks Richie
They are Stoptech discs that came with the Calipers in the Stoptech kit.
Ideally i wanted to get Stoptech discs to match for the rear. Ill get round to that eventually
