Just wondering has anyone done it, is it possible?? Once you have the ECU and controller switch, can you wire it into the loom with the right connections?? Also by having the right drive shafts hubs and brakes!! Cheers :subaru:

Really not worth the money in my opinion. But to answer your questions....you need the gearbox, driveshafts, DCCD ECU/controller as far as I know

the type R version 4 yes. Normal version 4 STi I dont think had the close ratio gearbox.

the early type r's are ment to have a closer ratio than the newer ones alright.
iv heard it said a few times but dont know how true it is.

myself and Andy compared my type r v3 to his v4/5 and mine seemed to sit on bout 400 RPM's higher than his at 120kmh..

andy 16in at 3,600
matt 17in :ponder2: at 3,800
me 18in at 3,700

dont know, i cant figure it out unless size tyres come into play aswell.

oh ya i tested that speed on the new kerry motorway

Yeah my wheels are 17 inch, 215/45 profile.
Im pretty sure its 3800Rpm but ill check tomorrow.
