Fitting gauges???

alrite people,

just wondering if anyone has a "how to" on fitting gauges, ill be getting an oil pressure and temp gauge and wanna do the job myself but not too sure on wiring etc???

wiring is easy...just use the ciggy lighter.

oil pressure: you have a few options. 1. Sandwich plate on the oil filter 2. taking out the factory oil pressure sender under the alternator and fitting a new one that should come with the gauge

oil temp: you have a few options. 1. drilling a hole in the sump and plugging the temp probe there. 2. use the blanking plug provide by subaru on the block under the top mount intercooler to the right side.

i want to pop them in a pillar mount though, how do i hide the wire from cig lighter to the gauges???

easy peasy


run the wire up behind the dash...behind the steering column....across to the right and up to the pillar...no wires to be seen anywhere.
