fog light giving trouble

ok so one of the bulbs in the fogs were gone so went and got a replacement and les than a week later its gone again when replacing the old one the fuse wire thing seemed to have over heated and failed any idea what would have caused this??

sorry the other one seemed to have failed when it rained or thats when i noticed it have taken it out to see if it has the same marks yet and its for my 06 wrx

Pretty sure Tommy555 had the same problem with his spotlights, not sure if he even solved it, he'll be on in a while & will fill you in though.

Not taking the p1ss but you know not to touch the glass of the bulb when fitting it don't you?
 
had same problem but since been resolved ,
touch wood ,

touchin the bulb is supposed to be a problem so keep the bulb in its plastic covering when fitting it , i checked all the wires goin to the fog lamp and all was ok but just check no moisture can get near connectors ,

what seemed to be the best thing was i bought hella bulbs instead of cheaper ones and no problem in last year nearly , one was goin nearly every month before

yeah i know not to touch the bulb alright ill check to make sure everything is sealed properly i was getting the bulbs from subaru themselfs so not sure what type they are ill grab a hella one so

will do man hopefully be dry over the weekend so i can get at it and have a root around it
