Ford confirm offer made to Ogier

Not that I GIVE A S**T , but interesting though......

Ford have offered current Citroen driver Sebastien Ogier a contract for the 2011 World Rally Championship season, according to Ford's Director of Motorsport, Gerard Quinn.

Speaking on Total Rally Radio, Quinn said that Ogier's management had contacted Ford to discuss the possibilities for the 2011 season.

Ogier has been the star of this year's championship, winning his first WRC rally, and coming close to another win in New Zealand.

If Ford sign the Frenchman, it will be a major coup for both the manufacturer, and the championship.

i would love to see him in a ford as at the moment he is the only one looking like he can fight against leob.

if he stays with citroen he will always be second to leob in the pecking order.

so it will be a good move for him, ford and the wrc

Sweet... i'd like to see a young talented driver take some wins off Citroen and Loeb and put em under some pressure!

It would certianly make the WRC a little more interesting than of late!

Non story I suspect.

Loeb is just about finished in WRC, by his own admission.

Ogiers manager is in discussions over his future (currently signed to citroen).

French driver - who Citroen want to keep - but Ogier wants more dollar for staying on, so opens dialogue with Ford to try & force Citroens hand.

Bigger pay from Citroen means everyone is happy...apart from Ford who have just been used.
