2004 Subaru Forester STI which is in fantastic condition and after receiving significant amount of preventative work by Larkin Automotive and recently mapped by AP Performance.
Work carried out : Timing belt kit inc water pump, thermostat and tensioners, Plugs changed, Oil Filter, Fuel Filter, Air filter, Coolant change, Oil for engine, diff oil, transfer box oil, gearbox oil, new discs and pads all round along with slider pins which go on all Brembo calipers, new Rainsport 5 tyres. Basically everything to have the car running perfect and reliable.
Mapped by AP Performance for Irish fuel & to be safe, Making 305BHP to the wheels and 335 FtLb
Car is mechanically standard to the engine and only some minor handling and aesthetic upgrades which are the following:
- Genuine RAYS Volks CE28N Alloys
- Android Auto / Apple car play system fitted
- Meister R Fully adjustable coilovers and camber adjusters
- Sti genome Front strut Bar
Mileage and Test information:
- Current kilometres on the car is 179,000
- NCT’d 05/25
- Tax'd 2/25
- Full Service history
- Japanese history also present (almost impossible to find a car with history from Japan)
- Clean Car VX report from Japan for Km’s and crash history check
Car is 20 years old, there is no rust and underside is in fantastic condition.
Overall the car is great condition, There are some very minor marks from age such minor door dings and some stone chips but it has to be expected of a car this age, Over all exterior would be an 8 out of 10.
Interior is in fantastic condition, seat bolsters are good, very little wear to the seats, retrimmed steering wheel to standard but now in leather, Overall interior would be 9 out of 10
all major expensive service items completed by previous owner. I only owned it for 4 months, but have to let it go for personal reasons unfortunately.

I would have thought it would never sell for that. Foz was always worth less than Impreza STI and that's priced out of the park in my opinion.
Unless it's lukes.. But he's the exception lol
The price it was advertised here was more like it I thought. Wasn't that long ago they were selling for 11k or 12k

That's the thing though, a lot of lads won't buy a 2.5... You'd imagine a forged built engine would be more desirable than the OEM 2.5 in it.

Personally, I know of a good few 2.5 still running grand with over 100k miles like. So it wouldn't bother me, but if I was to pick between the two, I'd go for your one first.

Wouldn't go near that blue one at 27k if I'm honest, price on here was much better
Sure, what's my UK STI worth then if that forester STI is at that price. Impreza, you'd think, would always demand more.
WRX worth more than XT
STI Impreza worth more than STI Forester etc etc

Foresters are less desirable than imprezas, and always were. Marketed towards different people really.

They are to be fair. And just as capable a car, don't get me wrong. Serious machines. 2.5 torque and same running gear as STI. I'd love a foz, I think they're class. But they never demanded a premium like that unless of course they're the exception. Lukes machine is something else
 
Do the 2.5 in the forester give trouble? know head gaskets went in that line of 2.5 and generally deemed softer than the 2.0
