Just joined the forum as I have always been a fan of subaru's. Looking into getting one this summer and I know I'm in the right place for tips and advice.

Welcome along Chris  you looking for new age 01 up or classic 00 down  loads of good advice here

Welcome along. Glad another Galway member is joining. Hope you find a nice Scooby soon. Maybe join up as a full member so you can come to official club events.

You can also meet two of us and Galway Cars and Coffee. Every second Sunday of each month, Dunnes stores carpark Ballybrit. 11AM - 1PM.

Thanks for the warm welcome!!

Just seen your wrx "rustysrally" looks very well, I would have no hesitation in buying it if I was in the position.
Thanks "sheriff" I just might take you up on that the next weekend I'm free. "scoobysub" I love both year's to be honest :)

Hi Chris welcome

To help u make up your mind of what year your after either Classic or Newage do you wanna daily drive the car (which a Newage will be better) or weekend toy which classic could be considered.

As a general rule Classic more raw

Newage more refined????

Models in Newage include

Bug eye
Blob eye
Hawk eye

After that comes the Hatch????

This is going to be my daily driver, I love both models and would enjoy the more rawness of the classic scooby. Why are the newer models better as dailys?

More Comfort in new-age models and easier to live with on a day-to-day basis Classics are really starting to show there is now against new modern cars as they are nearly 15/20 years old

That wouldn't bother me too much, are they much heavier on fuel or higher on insurance??
