what about a 2.2 st tdci mondeo engine and 6 speed if budget allows and if conversion is possible easily get 180/200 bhp and 300 + ft/lb

few lads local to myself had 2.0 mondeo engines wedged into the fiestas back maybe 10-12 years ago, were quick cars at the time

FUCKIN DIESELS why would anyone consider that a good conversion I'd rather convert it to pedal power. Seriously though it wouldn't even fit without big fabrication work you wouldn't have the chassis width

a lad on passionford building a mk3 fiesta with sierra cosworth running gear but way over the top i think want something different but without the massive build cost and i agree dec if i went cvh route full rebuild would be needed and always have the worry of something breaking or going bang thats why i thought of a zetec in it
