Gear selection prob

A fellow scooby owner from scooby net has a prob with his gearbox, has anyone got any ideas

when driving the car changes up the gears with ease, but when changing down she will not go into 4th unless you tease it into 3rd then it will go straight into 4th.

could it be any of the bushes, ! guy has said it could be the syncro but it is ok on the up change, so could it

any proper suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I had something similar to this on the Forester before. Turned out it was just a loose connector rod. 2 minute job to fix.

I had similar prob and it was a loose plate (sorry don't have correct name)
happened when i was shortening the gear change and wasn't fixed back properly
again a 2 min fix :dunno:
