gearbox oil

Animal spec-c

Petrolheads
wts the best gearbox oil to use in my spec c(gearbox)? also how much would i need?and how many litres of diff oil would i need for the rear?

Is that a 5spd or 6spd?

5 spd = 3.5 ltr GL5 (75W90) or equivalent.
6 spd = 4.1 ltr GL5 (75W90) or equivalent

Diff Oil
Except STI models:
0.8 ltr GL5 (75W90) or equivalent

STI Models:
0.9 - 1.1 ltr Gear Oil LSD (Part Number: K0904AA080) or equivalent.

Thats copied from the Subaru Manual, but I've spoken to the lads in C+R and they use the GL5 75W90 in the STI too :dontknow:

ye its a 6spd is there a particular brand to use im using that fuchs silkaloine in engine and diff would there gear oil b ok or is there a recommended brand for gearbox or are they much d same?

AL, I am on exact same quest as your self :geek:, top runners would seem to be MILLERS and MOTUL, i ended up ordering MILLERS today from EARS MOTORSPORT. MILLERS CRX 75w 90 5litres for box and Millers LSD OIL 3 LITRES... €110 DELIVERD TO MY DOOR. payed today b4 11am, will have tomorrow via DHL.. DAVID is guy to ask for 022 42106.
Dave leggy and Ciaran rsra replied to my what oil post in general section.. the 2 lads are doing Motul i think
some lads in UK using crazy viscousitys, i mean they have to clutch car to get it to start when cold, and takes bout 5 mins to heat up to a normal driving gear change, think they using 80w 140 or something... over kill... akrite for dog box or track car or something

thanks for advice didnt mean to steal your post!!but mine needs doin asap wanted to c wt people are using hve u heard anything bout the fuchs gear oil?

Didnt mean that you were stealn posts AL, just that two of us are on same quest at same time  and all under tight schedule :wall:, i want mine for saturday,
Didnt have Fuchs mentioned to me at all by anyone here or UK forums,
MOTUL, and MILLERS seemed to be top, especially the MILLERS, Dave and Ciaran for MOTUL, Ears for MILLERS,
Castrol was mentioned with a mixed opinion, and REDLINE seemed to be liked, think Nick in COUTURE might do REDLINE
