Go to drying aid / spray sealant

Currently looking at adding one of these for just pure convenience during the wetter/dirtier roads and not having apply something by hand every couple of washes

Currently using Chemical Guys hydro slick ceramic coating hyper wax (a mouthful😅) as it came recommended but tbh I don't think it's living up to the hype of being a half way wax half way ceramic

Even using a PH neutral pre wash it's only lasting a short time for me, so can't say I'd recommend for someone doing the mileage I do

I do 30k + a year in the daily driver and finding this isn't lasting long enough for me, 1 r 2 washes and the hydrophobicity has gone on the lower panels /high dirt areas

So looking at adding either CarPro Hydr02 or Gyeon Q2M wetcoat to help keep it someway presentable

I used this Kevin on the Bug & Blob, really locked in the shine, found it good, as for durability timeline performance....emm....i sold both cars within a few months 🤔
A friend used it on his Q7, never heard any complaints.....worth a try imo👍

Been using this on Sti Kevin not really to sure how well any of them last on follow up washes.

When have the time tend to use polar blast/wash/seal & quick run over with detailer tends to lock in shine for a good few weeks.

..I've same as Con there at home when Autoglym is gone will try it and report back

Nice1 lads, I'll look at those

My main thing is trying to reduce contact every wash, just to avoid the marring/marks that add up over time. So it's a spray on power wash off product I'm after as I dry using an air blower, I actually got one for a dog groomer as it's heated and work faster in winter I find

Ya that's another benefit is less drying time, the hydro slick ceramic wax is good initially but the time vs return isn't there for me with it. Might be ok for a weekend car but not for one doing my mileage unfortunately

yeah found the same.

Ceramic coating and waxes do protect the paint for a long time, but lose the hydrophobic stuff after a few weeks of being dailyed in the winter. Better off with a wash every week with a good spray on rinse of short term wax or sealant.

I used to use hydroseal from Jtech but hard to find now. Bought a bottle of CarPro Hydro2 LITE at the weekend because I've heard it's savage 🤷‍♂️

That's the main thing is trying to maintain abit of hydrophobicity to stop as much grime building up on it so quickly between washes.

You might let me know how you find that bottle of Carpro
