Can't buy them anymore... Prodrive used to do em....but don't supply em as they only support WRC cars from 2001 onward! I have just bouhgt a set of Carbon Kevlar ones if interested?

The gobstopper would beat the bollix out of the WRC, because the WRC has to use a 32mm restricter on the inlet,
I suppose the gobstopper would be more comparable to rally cross car!
@ Johnny99: Thanx for the specs
Dan

As far as I know RCM bought the arch moulds off prodrive!

i considered it before, but would be scared some fcuk would kick or something.
i had a price from scoobyclinic and was fairly expensive :cuckoo:

if rcm have the moulds surely they can make them. or do you mean just got the kit off them.

The Gobstopper was a sales car that RCM had in stock... it was a V6 Type R that had had the steel arch conversion done by the previous owner & carried out by Prodrive when nearly new. I used to drool over that car everytime I was on RCM's site .... and this was prior to all the mental work they did on it afterward. So...RCM never produced those panels and I spoke to Matt Clarke about sourcing new ones if something happens to their car and they weren't all that positive they could get new ones.

Prodrive priced those steel WRC panels for me about 2 year ago and they where mad money... but they then turned round and said they basically couldn't be arsed making em as they had none in stock... would have to dig out the moulds... press them etc etc! Basically they've given up supporting the GC8 WRC cars and this has now been taken on by WRC Spares who only do composite panels now.

Don't touich the Scoobyclinic kit... it's as far as I know the HT Autos 22B kit... very different from Gobstopper WRC Kit. It's also GRP not Carbon or steel and is a bit cheap and nasty. All these kits are expensive... just spent 2500 on WRC 1/4 panels and sills. :shock2:

could someone buy the moulds of them, theyd make a bit of cash if they did.

ya all the scoobyshops in the uk get all there stuff from ht autos.
where did you get the 1/4 panels and sills?
i wouldnt mind having steel at the rear and crap wings, as they would be eay enough to sort if they got damaged.

There's not enough of a demand probably.... when you consider they're proabably only a handful of Works S5 & S6 impreza's about. Either they don't want loads of replicas floating about or the suppliers of the carbon ones have just filled the gap for the small demand of producing the panels for competition cars.

You'd need to have all the steel presses too... wouldn't be cheap and I doubt they'd hand over the orignal moulds even at a price!
