Goldy wheels

Do people do something special to make Goldy wheels more Goldy?
:iamwithstupid:

I tend to use a powerwash and then come home and get a rag at them when all the heavy dirt is gone.

Should I be doing something else that will keep them Golden for longer?
:geek:

I know this sounds retarded but :1poke: would like to know :new_puppy_dog_eyes:.

Thanks

Tom

Keep doing what your doing. Perhaps use an alloy polish like autoglym and finish it off then with an alloy sealant. Helps to keep the dust off them.

alloy sealant ....
i never knew this stuff existed until i brought my car to a friend to get valeted ....
i used to always wash my wheels and go at them with a rag and theyd be grand for about an hour , after that they'd be mucky again..

when the lad used the alloy sealant , they were gleaming for about a month after it ,just gently hose them and the dirt falls off again

Keep at what your doin till ya get them polished and sealed mate.....

then keep doin what your doin after that too..... only difference will be how much easier it becomes

dont use your brakes

Fine wire brush done it on my wheels mate.....
then a good polish to get out all the scores etc....

Once cleaned of break dust..... Seal them and it stops the buildup in future

For the build up use an old toothbrush the break it up and loosen it. Autoglym sealant is what i use on mine so i'd recommend that.

i would use wonder wheels to get them clean, wash them off, dry them so they are like new, and then there is some alloy protector stuff out there in 2 little spray cans, and you should be good.

oh and i wouldnt put a wire brush to wheels, cant imagine it would be to good for them

the wire brush depends on the buildup and the wheels.....

Its what i use from time to time and its never caused me too much harm but be careful!!!!!

Thanks again lads,

Ill have a butchers for that 2 spray thing and in meantime might go out with an old

toothbrush and give her gentle carresses!!! :multijump:

Good work lads!!!You get yours nicely waxed on monday noel?

Use a clay bar to take stubborn spots off the wheels, works great without risking any damage to the wheels

Think your right there stew!! i scraped a bit of it off using a cotton cloth and with a little

persuasion the dust came of but left me with a white streak where the paint had come away

and was obviously down to the bare primer!!

Suppose fook all can do apart from getting her refurbd!! Not gonna bother i suppose, have a set of 17 white

wheels so looking out for sti wheel caps...

Thanks for all the help tho lads, ill give the above suggestions a go and sure cant get any worse than is now so see what happens!! :subaru:
