golf R (advice)

You will be glad to know that I did modify my petrol lawn mower and it's much better now :p

The Focus RS wins with the sound of the 5 pot anyday. The Golf R wins on reliability and ability to use day in and day out in all weather conditions. I'd pick the VW over the Focus myself tbh as it's a bit more modern and easy to live with. Plus oem parts are cheap as and very easily got.
The mark 2 is the 5 pot mark 3 has inferior engine (4 pot but loads of torque) but is awd and a hoot to drive under the right conditions

I had a 2016 mk7 R DSG and couldn't fault. I travelled for a good while with work so sold it. I's buy one again tomorrow if i could. if anything id say they are a little understated in the looks, i think the GTI looks better sometimes but its all personal preference. I liked the understated look as ya don't get too much notice when driving it. I also liked that i could get 40mpg on eco mode when driving normal. 100% the R is a good car for me. Don't be believing all the wanna be top gear pundits on youtube about boring handling etc. best of luck with whatever ya decide

I’m enjoying mine lad !! Daily to Dublin 30 mpg on eco !! Mapped by AP with couple bits so round 360 and 400 still getting used to way it delivers the power but it’s capable and inside it’s just a golf not near as nice as a gti but has all usual bits
