Good day turned bad!

Howdy
My usual Saturday starts with getting the kids out of bed, get breakfast into them and off to visit my Nana, leaving Wifey to have a morning off!
During the week Tommy555 put me in touch with a lad that saved me a load on windows, and during the chat tommy offered to call to my house to fix a cracked window I had,
So I met tommy along the road on the way home from Nana's, We had a nice spirited drive back to my gaf, He sorted the window in no time and we played with my Radio controlled helicopter,(which we near lost due to high winds)
All good so far, Then at 5pm I got a phone call, I chap sounding very flustered, He says he got my number off the side of me Van which is being robbed of all my tools as we speak, (My apprentice who lives near me drives my van) My self and tommy jumped into my can and headind for the N7 dublin bound, looking for a black landcruiser that the theives were driving according to the chap on the phone, We travelled at a rediculous pace to the N7 and all the way to Newlands ring all the apropriate gardai on the way, But we didn't pass or see any black landcruisers! And the gardai drew a blank also,
I when back to the van, The back door has a hole under the handle, and now the door wont open at all! ALL MY TOOLS ARE GONE, EVERYTHING
The lad who drives the van is a clean freek, Every thing has it's place, all very easy to find, The van is alarmed, and it did go off, but he was in and out so fast in broad daylight that it didn't matter, A young lad (about 10years old) appoached the theif and asked "what are you doing" The theif held a hammer to his face and told him to f**k off
The young lads dad is the lad who rang me!
The gardai called over shortly after wards and took statement, but nothing will come off that!
Between my Newly servised Chop saw, Consaw, Angle grinder and diamond blade, circular saws, panasonic cordless skrew drivers, Paslode 1st and 2nd fix nail guns, Cango hammer and other stuff I cant even think of untill I need them and can't find them!
At least €3000 off stuff plus whatever it costs to fix the van! Insurance does not cover tools at all! and at a time were every person do work for seems to think there is 10-15% haggling money added to the quotes I give them, I'm pricing at cost at the moment!!!!!!!! to make sure I keep my head and the heads of my lads above water untill things pick up abit!
So The day turned out quite shite!
Just a big thank you to Tommy555, for helping with the windows and a big sorry for subjecting you to what must have been a very scary drive up to newlands!
Dan

The tried get into my bosses van that i drive, outside my house at 5:30 in the evening a couple of weeks ago.
They caused 3,200euro worth of Damage to the doors and locks but didnt get into the van thankfully.
Funny thing is, i caught a Glimpse of a Black Diesel vehicle through the blinds on my windows as they drove off but didnt know anything had happened at that stage so didnt give chase or anything.
I wonder is it the Same people?
Scum :new_2gunsfiring_v1:
Ill keep an eye out for lads sellin tools from a black landcruiser anyway

I heard an ad on the radio during the week about a new insurance company that will insure tradesmen for their tools and open insurance on a fleet of vans and all that. I must listen out for it again and post up the details.

I hope it wasn't cock gotting the money back one way or another.

Sorry to hear this mate.

sorry to hear this Dan, 3 of my neighbours cars were broken into last night, all sh*t boxes too, took radios and various other items left on display. mine was left alone which i thought was a bit weird, maybe something to do with the fact i had the big blue Clifford flashing away and my Clarion DVD head unit is out of the car for repair!

My mates van was broken into a few weeks back and all his tools were swiped too(carpenter) Since then he got the van kitted out with a large lockable tools chest that's welded to in the back to the floor and fits most of his expensive tools. He also has another chest he puts all the other stuff into and takes out of the van and brings into the house.

This is sh1t sorry to hear this, you can get better locks fitted they look like pad locks and a grill over the back windows it might put the smelly cu*t's off.

would have loved if you caught the scumbag. i would have took that hammer off him and rammed it down his throat. As well as being a low life thief imagine threatening a 10 year old with a hammer.... brave lad...
hope he damages himself trying to use some of your tools

It had occured to me, But if it was planned it would have been at night, this was just opertunistic!
New tools, repair doors and big locks, are all on the agenda for tomorrow!
Paying for them is next months agenda! B**tards!
Dan

In the longmile market just inside the gate there is a knacker that sells tools id say 50% of the stuff is stroked might be worth a shot.

Feck sake... sorry to hear this man...

They feel now that they own the place, that they can just rob people blind in broad daylight... The country is in a mess, innocent people being shot in the streets and the guards want to spend the little money they have on noise meters so they can stop and test "boy racers"... feckin joke!!!!
