Got my insurance renewal...

I basically have all the same details as you Mark apart from my address and I renewed in October for €700 with AXA... Got them down from €880 after a lot of giving out... All other quotes i got were around €850-900, including one from first ireland... Thats seems rediculously expensive, give axa a ring directly tomorrow and see what they say..

dear lord i can't believe it's that dear

i had a big oops earlier in the year (all paid up now so not pending) and i've 0 ncb and my renewal was only 2350 and mine is a motor trade policy

after the accident i was expecting it to easily be over 3k bein honest

it was only 1300 last year and it'd have been less if herself got the full licence

What a fcuking joke dude. I'm with ARB through a broker in Sligo and I was €1500 last year. Am dreading my renewal quote now. Got a text from Britton insurance in Donegal today about going to them when I renew my policy maybe try and give them a buzz. They quoted me the same as ARB last year but without the wife on the policy. I will pm ya the number now. Hope ya get sorted soon.

Have a few numbers to ring thanks to a few members on here so fingers crossed I get a decent quote

I am 30 and this year it went up €100 so now i am paying €630 and i think its still very good cos some of you are paying a lot more.

At the start i was getting fooked in the bum hole when paying for insurance to :mooner:

My bro (19)(1.3 lancer) just got his first car on the road and payed €2800 after a lot of phone calls

All along it was over €4000+ mad mad money and i think he was starting to save for that amount :cuckoo:

6300 on a 1.3 starlet non turbo when I was 20. Still my record. Car was only worth 5k.

My first car was an 89 EF Hatchback Civic. 1.3 with not a mod in sight. Was back in 1997 when i was 17. Paid out £ 3,751 POUND. Fcukin eejit for payin it, but sure had to be done for work at the time. Payin € 850 now full comp and im 30 with herself named on it too

...I think that's the point!
On a non turbo though, that's a joke!

Jaysus. What's up with all the Insurance companies wanting to lose business? I was looking for quotes on a Bug STI for renewal just for the craic. 19, 2 years NCB, 2 years full license and the highest I got was €3,800. Lowest was €3,422.

I know but 4.5k for a 25 Year old on a is it a leggy he drives? That's just a joke. A bad one at that. If it were as new business you'd half understand but as a renewal it's ridiculous! My 3,800 was TPFT btw. Fully comp was an extra 600. :icon_redface:

I had to use all my no claims on another policy last year so had to start with 0ncb on the legacy again. €791 I got it for. Are there any companies out there that will mirror my no claims? Surely it applies to the driver-not the car.

I've heard of a couple companies that will mirror it but they charge you a bit of excess and only offer step back rather than full ncb protection. I'll have a look when I'm home where I seen it and who does it.

:eek7: :shock2: thats crazy prices, Ive just turned 21, Leggy B4, 3years NCB, 1400 EURO? I was 20 at the time too, try axa man, they havent a clue what a leggy is :multijump:
