Got Pulled Today

Hopefully he doesn't follow it up but they normally try to scare the sh*t outta ya so that you don't do it again. Fingers crossed for a buddy.
 
I'd say you just have to show in a the Garda Barracks and produce, The car you driver does attract attention to start with but how you driver it attracts even more. He wounldn't have come near you if you wheren't acting the mick in it, I only today had two cop's asking me about my car, nice fellas they just liked the car and wanted to know a bit about it, I'm sure that if I had acted the mick they would have acted differently, Best of look in any way with it.
 
The time I had hassle over my exhaust ( which was only a magnex backbox and cente section ) in my last car, he didn't give me a ticket or didn't say he was going to, just drop my license and insurance in to the station, which I did and they were very nice about it !!!

A few weeks later the local cop at home arrived at my door with a summons !!


And ya the cops are always watching the beachs, it actually amusing at times,
I drove my car on to the beach in Kerry, and the cops sat up when they saw me and probably thinking OH YES !! :shoot: but I parked it and went for a stroll with my girlfriend ;), Passed by them and laughed
 
say wat happened in court over the summons for exhaust???

And everytime i got asked by them about my exhaust and they were telling me how illegal it was i always say its a prodrive one and therefore is a factory one as sold by main dealers hence its fully legal so goodnight to you sir..... always has worked so far......
 
Lets just say that it didn't go to court, but I had to put back on the original twin pea shooter.
sold the car shortly after,
have a prodive back box on the one now and have had absolutely no hassle what so ever with the law !!!

Can i just start by saying we dont promote or encourage this sort of bahaviour,this forum and site is made up of car enthusiasts not BOY RACERS,Iam disappointed with the sympatheisers, basically if thats the way your going to act then you deserve it,This site consists of all types of people,all ages and all of different backgrounds yet we all behave responsibly,I would also like to add that there are Guards who drive subarus and that there are Guards who are members of this club.In a time when Guards are coming under increased pressure to cut carnage on our roads it is probably best that you were stopped before you went and done some serious damage,again we dont promote this and i dont think that this type of post should make the board especially when anybody can access the forum.We are a law abiding club so please dont give us a bad name
 
How was i promoting Boy racing? I full admit i was in the wrong in my first post. Also im not boasting in anyway how i got away with it. Im telling a story of how i got caught doing something away from the public and away from the roads where i would of endangered lives. Also like a said before i drive more safty aware in my subaru than i have in anyother vehical ive owned. And im pretty sure uve probably done something not completely road legal when uve thought no one wasnt looking.

Also if u read my post ul read how i tell every one what the garda plans to to do for catching me doing it and the right telling off i got so i dont know who thats promotion.
 
i don't think anybody condoned his behaviour, also your remark regarding carnage on the roads and associating someone you don't know with it is out of order, to quote you "IT WAS PROBABLY BEST THAT YOU WERE STOPPED BEFORE YOU WENT AND DONE SOME SERIOUS DAMAGE" do you drive within the legal road speed limit every time you take your car out????? also...a lot of your club members which i am not one of drive heavily modified cars....do they all inform their insurance companies of the changes they make?? please dont point the finger.....and make silly staments. i have no doubt from reading the forums on this board that your club is well run and everybody associated deserves a slap on the back for it, nobody likes boy racers because they drive your's mine and everyone else's insurance up.
 
Dave571 I think you are going a bit far here. :noway: The guy didn't say he did such a manouver on the M50 or the likes of it!! He did it on an empty beach (which he admits was still wrong) and got caught and is just sharing the experience.
And if you know so much about gardaí you will know that they very often get pulled over for speeding and say "Sorry about that, by the way I'm also a member". Flash their badge and are sent merrily on their way!! That sound like a great justice system doesn't it!?! :ponder:
 
@dave571....   Think your statement in this case was not very well thought out...  Yes we wouldn't pat someone on the back and say good job for drivivg past a school at 80mph as kids were coming out....  But going on about law abiding club...???  Yes we a decent bunch of people that would do the above but we ALL brake the speed limits every day. Anyone saying they don't is a liar.......  We didn't buy and spend thousands improving are cars to drive around like Mrs Daisy???? But we don't thunder round either constantly but we do let our cars out when it is in proper timing and enviroment...

Ya have to agree with all that.. and don't me started on the guards.. :wall:
 
I have to say that i know that we are not angle's all the time but i think that dave although vioced in a strong way was talking more so of the garda, we don't need attension drawn to the club because of remarks made by members towards the garda"And what a nice garda he was. first he didnt belive me i was insured, then done me for no nct, and my tax disk was at home still in the letter. (i know my stupidity not having it), then he procceded to tell me that by the time he was through with me id never get insured again, and that driving on a half empty beach was a privilage not a right." when Wet Patch himself had admitted he was in the wrong! No point making anymore of this. If you act the mick and get nabbed just get on with it.
 
Nobody that owns a scooby is a total angel,otherwise they would be driving mondeos,(GOOD AT EVERYTHING,BRILLIANT AT NOTHING)or a 1.6 subaru,why have a turbo?most subaru owners would have held there breath at some stage,near misses,speed camera,garda car,etc.actually,everybody that owns a car will have some sort of story to tell.....were men after all.

It's hardly drag-racing in an industrial estate or doing burnouts in a garage forecourt!! I'd like to think that while we're all behaving responsibly and abiding with laws, we could take a little time to be tolerant towards our fellow site users ;)

I have no idea why you would want to add that?????? What has it got to do with anything, I'd be fascinated to hear why you wanted to share this with everyone!!
