Failed NCT - The drivers electric window didn't go down !!!

It will be a free visual inspection when it's checked out.

On the plus side, the guy told me it was an absolute beauty, in great nick!
But you can't put nice sentiments on your cert . . . .
 
first time i heard that...

i had cars with windows not working and those still passed. i guess he was just being a dick if he failed you only on that.
 
I failed on that many years ago with my GT Starlet. So not a new thing.
 
Some might get by if its not the drivers window and they don't bother checking them all. But they always put the drivers window down in case the car auto-locks and they can't get back into it.

As said above!

It only matters because the driver is required to give particulars to the gardai out the window and for hand signals in case of emergency etc..

Not just the tester bein a cnut as has been suggested!

I failed on passenger window.
