went to westward today as part of a dtd day the subaru got 280bhp at the fly and only 315nm (232lbft). the torque was so because there might be a small block in the boost pipe according to martin. It was my first time on the dyno, it was a great experience and martin has some set up. the car is completely standard so was really happy as it mantained the factory bhp even though the car is nearly 10 years old.

Brilliant result, Martin's rollers will always give you a very accurate result, he will not give you bullsh1t pub talk figures. For it to still have all it's horses after 10 years is brilliant, it must be well looked after.

have heard this before about cars losing power because of age,why exactly? mileage wear is more important with modern engines.
The tolerances are so minute, with the amount of power being strung out of such low capacity engines, they are more likely to fail before showing signs of wear.
plenty dyno rums of cars with 100k plus miles still making standard power...obviously with a FI engine there are a lot of factors which can effect the power, turbo, solenoids maf etc..but given the right oil the engine block itself should be fine

Due to blocked boost pipe. Get that sorted and it should be flying.
