Halfords too kits

had the same idea myself Dan , the girlfriend wanted to get me a set but when i had a good look at them i wasnt to sure about the quality , they feel very light and like something i would break to easily , so she found a set locally made by draper tools and they are the business i reckon , got a smaller set for same money as halfords ones but happier about the quality of them

i use their tools as well and find that they're good enough for working on the car

would not be sure on quality, for at home i would recommend draper they are good quality and most motor factors sell them they are cheap and cheerfull

They will be fine for working on your own cars although you will still need a few large sockets and the ratchet won't last forever. For the money, and in that natty box too, they are great value. If you are working on cars for reward, then you need the pro stuff, Snap On, Teng etc, and you will pay for it. Great present idea for the GF or Wifelet to give you.

i have a halfords set similar to that one but slightly bigger. ive given it a fair bit of abuse and have used the larger sockets with a power bar and all are still ok. i use mine for a lot of things inc electrical work and fitting lashing kits and antennas.

mechanic by trade.... most of my tools are snap on and blue point.....have some halfords bits...rachet spanners and that....have them a couple of years cant fault them although my 19 rachet spanner is slipping but thats ny own fault !

They do offer a lifetime warranty on their proffesional tool kits so they have to be decent quality. They're obviously not going to be snap-on quality but for home use they are spot on. I have the big case ratchet set and haven't had any problems with it, good value and perfect for occasional home use
