has anyone else heard about this charity subaru event?

Whats his angle ,
most subarus in one place ...

looks a bit of a spoof to me ,not even an email address specified ,or even a poster for the event ,

Looks like it will be a runner lads. We've been talking to tommy (he's the lad that was doing the subaru theme bar) and finalising some details before an official posting

from talkin to him it's for the world record for largest number of one make in one plece and also the furthest distance traveled together in convoy!
he's been organising it a year or so and it'll be goin properly public with radio and tv ads soon!
he hopes to reach 555 but more would be even better!

I'm goin to try get both of mine out for the day for it anyway

Apparently the record achieved by the McRae event was never officially a world record ,

Be intteresting if thats true , we could be part of new record

The ww attempt is for the largest parade of scoobies on the move at one time. McRae one is a static record for the most amount of scoobies in one place.. The current record for largest amount of scoobies on the move is 339 from somewhere in the US..

spoke to tommy recently bout this and seems hes put lot of time and energy into making this work!!!!
hope he can make the acheivement coz its great for charity!!

Would it not be an idea for him to come on here and the website for the club up north to drum up support for this. It would be a great achievement if he could pull it off.. I think japfest 2009 was one of the ISDC's biggest turnouts and that was about 70-80 odd.

He's already contacted the committee about this lads & we're working with him to try to make this happen

Would be great to be a part of a world record,
more so when it's a scooby record, i seen a vid
were it said the Mcrae memorial convy was not
recorded as a world record, so its possible to
beat the 339 rolling scooby's in the US,
but august aint far away, word would
need to go out to get the numbers up asap

I take it back so , it must be genuine ....

and for what its worth , id be up for taking part ... as long as its not the bank holiday weekend , as im already doing a charity drive that weekend
