Headlights/Foglights

Hi lads, quick question, picked up my first legacy yesterday, eli roches old car, very impressed so far, lovely condition. Just wondering about d headlights, when there on dipped beams they have d HID look, bit on full beams they turn a yellow color like standard lights, this just a bulb issue?? An to get d foglights to match d HID, is that just a whiter bulb or new fogs, cheers lad :subaru:s?

Thats the way all Legacy's are mate. HID headlights but when full flash beams on its a standard yellow look.
You can get whiter bulbs for fogs on ebay, i had them in it. They are marginally whiter than standard but dont match HID.
Dunno what the story is with converting fogs to HID, more hastle than its worth id say.
Best of luck with the car.

Bulbs will not change how your spots look-no matter how blue. You need a H3 HID kit to change them but some aftermarket HID's are awkward and prone to blowing bulbs-you pay for what you get. Standard B4 HID's are rated at 4300k so thats what you'll need to match-and also white led stop and tail bulbs for sidelights.

I might leave d fogs for a while, need a new radio, d Japanese radio is killing me ;-) goin to change d side lights for whote leds. Have a few small plans, mainly cosmetic.

Glad you found something, looks like it was worth waiting for.
Delighted, worth d wait, money was burning a hole in my pocket, nearly bought a accord sir-t. Have to get around to joining d club as a full member. its on d cards.

Remember-as mad as it seems your sidelight bulbs are stop and tail bulbs. Twin contact, twin filament. Park car with either front corner near a wall in the dark and indicate to that side. Your sidelight will get brighter.

only way to sort it man is to fit hid kits in place of the headlight bulbs and fog light bulbs the hid kits in all cars from factory are only fitted to dipped lights

Thanks for all d help lads

Eli- I know the car has been mapped for Maxol E5 and thats all I'm using, am I right in saying that I dont need Octane Booster? Prob a stupid question.
And quick question about d alarm on it, Its a MED alarm, thats what it says on d fob, are they any good?? Just want a bit more security as I dont want the car to go walk about, was thinking of investing in maybe a clifford/viper/autopage alarm. Any comments would b great, cheers.
