HEL braided brake lines

thats scary right there, brake lines to actually fail during the nct , hope yer man gets somewhere with camskill for supplying dodgy goods

I'd like to see a picture where they actually failed. When fitting them yo my car I found the front ok fit but the rears were to long and I could see that the hose would be in contact with the inner arch so I wrapped that part in a heavy duty rubber hosing. I bought them last september and only put them on the car in December

I have a set on mine too. Was it just a random manufacturing failure or maybe they were fitted badly? Must start shopping around for some new good ridge ones or similar

had a set on for two years, endured hours of thrashing, grand prix circuit, nurburgring, san bernadino pass, col de torini

never missed a beat

this is prob a very specific batch/ production tie frame

Imo its probably the support that attaches to strut.

Goodridge ones are metal and the line stays exactly where it should. As in x amount of length either side.

Do luk and hel are plastic and the line moves freely through it with no resistance. So can move too much line say on the wheel side leading to rubbing on the wheel and wearing line through.

thats true actually, now you say it i know exactly what your mean :ponder2:
x2 .I think it down to poor fitting tbh though.I do agree with Dave though that the goodridge hoses with the fixed strut support is a better job

yes mine are currently fixed to the strut with cable tie as there was no mounting point to go onto my struts, i got the impreza fitment instead of legacy fitment ones. they are secured in place though and nowhere near the wheel

The hel also mount to strut. But its plastic instead of metal.

But what i mean is you can push hose back and forward with hel but with goodridge they stay where you put them.
