Hi, my name is Kieran, living on the Cavan/Meath border and after 20 years of wanting a Subaru I finally popped the cherry yesterday!
I bought Ulick's classic STI wagon, absolutely love it. I'm not as big an internet person as I would have been but when I was interested in buying the car it was nice to see its progress over the past few years on here, so I'll do my best to continue it on
Have had some jap cars in the past but I'm in my mid thirties now with two little people and another on the way so I've been down the sensible diesel route for the past few years. Now I needed to replace my daily runabout and my budget matched the wagon so there was no contest. I'd actually decided on a clio 197 until this came up lol. No major plans for the car, it'll be my daily runabout for mainly short distances, will have to see how the neighbours go with the noise but I might have to put a silencer on the car, otherwise replace some spurious gauges with nicer ones and thats pretty much it really!
I've attached some pictures of old cars and my hobby, kart racing. White S14a had a T517 turbo, cams, injectors etc etc 370hp wth a great drift setup bought from Powervehicles, other car was my JZX81 Mark II, JIC coilovers, 7 point cags, filter, Power FC with commander and a few other bits. Around 300hp. I race KZ karts, 125cc gearbox, front and rear brakes - 0-60 in under 3 seconds and what Verstappen, Ricciardo, Alonso, Sainz amongst others do in their spare time! The kart is just sold, won 5 Irish titles this year but I've gone back to college and doing an MSc this year so karting has been kicked to touch till this is done.
