Got a nice 01 WRX a few months ago from Carroll & Roche Subaru in Tallaght and thought I'd better join this forum to get some expert advice from other owners - I have a lot of questions that need answering!...
Anyway here's what I am aware of regarding the car specs - the thing is I don't know enough about the standard car to know what modifications were made exactly and what things are standard items:
Car: Subaru Impreza WRX 2.0 Turbo
Power: ~don't know
Exhaust: 3" sport exhaust
Engine Modifications: K&N Dump valve (atmospheric)
Suspension: Lowered & stiffened TEIN suspension
Chassis: Front strut brace
Wheels: Speedline alloys
Brakes: Upgraded brakes - drilled & grooved discs
Exterior Lighting: Quad headlight conversion
Exterior Modifications: Front splitter (lower spoiler), Hiline rear spoiler, M-3 style wing mirrors
Seats: Prodrive
Interior Modifications: Turbo pressure guage
Security: xxxxx alarm system
I think the previous owner was a member of a subaru club but don't know if it was this one - i think it was - he was in the army.
Also I don't exactly know the manufacturer or specs of things like the brakes and exhaust to know if they are good or bad. Any way to find out?
I want to ask some questions about some problems I notice like slipping clutch when power is put down at speed in 4th and clanking noises from rear while rolling slowly in traffic. Don't know cause of these or if it is normal.
Should I ask about these in the general discussion forum?
