Quite a lot of Passat CC are 4 seater as well Rob unless your 08/09 plus rob, not sure if you need the 5 seats for the family, they have a cubby in the middle in the early versions

Didn't realise that, would defo need the 5 seats, was looking at 09-10 cars

Ya must be jokin, I'm parking around dundrum at the minute and already had a shouting match with a resident the other day where she threatened to damage poor old fester. If I had the spec c and it got damaged, I'd go all Rambo and destroy the entire village to find the culprit :multijump:

Yeah I know but I'm saying take the war wounds
I've dents and scratches on mine
Hard at first but once you get over that it doesn't matter anymore
I've a dent on mine on the wing
Nearly needed a defibrillator when I seen it
But now I'm not arsed
It passes
Cheaper to run 1 than 2
Do it for 3 months and see how it goes
Or even a month
Worst you loose is 3 months tax
Can't see much of the rep mobiles exciting you after they initial new car buzz
Just my 2 cents
Look at Grahamo spec c mk2
Cheaper than committing another same ammount

Hmm.. :ponder:

Colm, I think I will try it in the new year after I get back from India but right now, I just can't spend the money on it to have it driving. Few bits to tip away at over the winter. Other problem is I've nowhere to keep it at the house, open parking and I just wouldn't sleep for fear of it

What about a skoda superb? Nice car but you would need the 2 litre engine for a bit of power or the octavia vrs 170bhp two nice cars and should come in under budget too

I hear you
Just don't want you to take more debt on
Even if you have it in cash
My biggest mistake was having to much outlayed on cars financially
It's why I bought the Scooby
Cheapest poke for buck and I made a desiscion to own everything
My last BMW cost me 38k in 18 months with finance and plans changing from when I bought it
Paid every penny back
So I'm very conscious of people doing same
If I had your car I would not do it at all
Just my 2 cents trying to look out for a friend

Drive the spec c daily rob I sat down and worked out buying a banger for 2 grand to run and keep my scooby for weekends and that made zero financial sense

BMW is just going to sponge up money love the accords myself in particular the type s model gunmetal with gunmetal wheels (ran one daily few years back )

But tons of the modern dezel cars that are reaching 100,000 miles are shitting themselves and requiring major engine work

so my two cents drive the blob daily or pay less (than equivalent tractor engined td) and get a mazda 6 or accord petrol as a daily be far more reliable in the long run

& a Opc astra won't ever do 40 mpg :facepalm

ever sure colm Suzaki won't crack 40 and that's a 1.3 :falldownlaugh:

Cheers pops, if I was going to pay the tax on a pre 08 530d, then I'd have to get an m sport, although they just seem to be well worn, although still considering looking to an auction :ponder:
