HELP is my gearbox oil seal knackered

I think my gearbox oil seal is gone
since i got the car in aug 07 and after going for a drive i would notice a slight smell of hot oil , but i checked for leaks and oil levels and everything seemed ok and the car was driving grand
so i put it down to the smell of a turbo engine, having never had one before
but last night i noticed a small dot of oil under the car and when i got under to check at the back of the gearbox and front of the driveshaft is covered with old black gunky oil and the exhaust and exhaust casing seems to have had fresh oil dripping on it ,not to much but enough to cause a smell

just wondering is that what it is
and how much it would cost to fix
and can anyone recommend someone who could fix it around dublin

The seal its self is cheap enough, I got it done on my Glanza before, was about 30 euro for the seal. And got charged 2 hours labor to fit as the gear box needed to be dropped....

I've the same problem but I'm getting a rebuild anyway so I'm getting the lot done in one go

I had the same problem too, but was getting a new clutch so get them done at the same time too, seals are only a few quid from Subaru, its the labour thats expensive.
