as above help and advice needed urgently,

i replaced the rocker cover gasket on the drivers side of my wagon the other day, after driving to cork i noticed it was weeping a little still so i put my 10mm spanner on it and gave it the tiniest nip as it felt like it could be loose, but SNAP the poxy thing broke clean.... now im stuck in cork with no gasket sealer and i need to drive home to drogheda tommoro for work monday, there is a small amount of oil leaking sown onto the up pipe now but not loads will the car be safe to drive home or what? im afraid it may be a fire hazard, i was told to drive it home but check frequently the dipstick by one guy that the oil shouldnt be too bad to leak as its gonna be constantly recircualting and not sitting and pooling. im in trouble here as i need to get home i have use of another car but need to get the wagon home so i can work on it, was told ill need to more than likely lift the engine to get it sorted as its the rear lower rocker cover bolt :angry1: :angry1: :angry1:

few people have said that already ill try it and keep an eye on the oil level, if worst comes to worst ill get it lifted home, what would be the easiest way to get the bolt bit back out??

Depends where it broke to be honest might be some of it left sticking out if the heads so with the cam cover off you might be able to grab it

If you take the cover off sometimes you can put a nut over the broken bolt and put a slight weld in the center, then just turn that bolt out.this has worked for me in the past.
Might be awkward too drill and re tap but its another option.
