Help Needed What Boost????

As a few of you mite know i bought Funnyclubs Sti Wagon i am getting a Greddy Boost controller and the autronic ecu remapped 2mo...What bar boost do you think it wld be safe to run??? The car has a 2.5 bottom end with standard internals.

Any help appreciated :subaru:
 
Who is doing the map? They would be the best to recommend a boost setting for what you want of the car.
 
Yeah ecc set it at 1.15 bar... did a savage up there!! The ecu was locked so they drove the car up to ai to get a base map done then partically mapped it on the drive back...Then a full map back at base.. :D

Hav ta say fair play to them.. :thumbsup:
 
needed to get the anti-lag mapped in properly, lean out the mixture a bit and to stop poppin and bangin on deacceleration...was wreckin my head... :D

Ah yeah its on a switch, just it was poppin and bangin when i took my foot of the gas anyway...prob due to the mixture being so rich...

Yeah they set it at 1.15 bar, i thought it was a bit low but...
 
thats probly the exhaust, mines starting to do that too.
over use on the als id say. :D
i could be wrong tho.
 
1.15bar is quite low alright :dunno:
I'd say she has a bit more potential in her yet :thumbsup:
Mines running 1.4bar with a 20g turbo!

yeah i was thinking 1.3 myself, but its still only the vf24 turbo so mabe that has somethin to do with it?? :dunno:

would love to see it with higher boost but am afraid somethin would go bang... :hang: ha

Just get Jomo Eng to throw in a set of uprated pistons and throw a 20g turbo, a front mount, bigger injectors, on her she will be good for 400+ then.

Or cheaper option is to just stick a 20g (straight bolt on), STi V8 topmount and scoop 660cc injectors and go for a safe enough 380-390bhp and 400lb/ft on standard pistons!
I've been flying around at 380 odd bhp for ages now with no problems, Full trackdays, Drag racing, No bother! :thumbsup:
