For the catback I'd go with HKS if you've money to burn, super quality... You only need a primary decat downpipe for a full turbo back exhaust but if you also get the secondary downpipe there will probably be some gains to be had from the better flow but not sure how much difference exactly..

Are you changing from an induction kit to the standard air box?

You won't have to remap when you fit the cat back but you will need a map when you change the downpipe or the induction kit... Get prices from everywhere you can and make sure to include the mapping in your budget

hks; less den 600 from murry motor sport ......
wud der b a big price diff in the down pipes?
changin from a powertech air cone to a standard box ....
i will b use ecutech to map ...............

Thats €600 for the HKS center pipe and the backbox? That seems like a good price, especially for HKS. Really super quality with excellent flow. How much for the HKS downpipe or do they make them?

The secondary pipe (which is the one you don't necessarily need) might be more expensive because it contains the Y-pipe to attach the primary to. I just checked the Hayward & Scott website and they are more expensive alright.. £288 for the seconday versus £264 for the primary..

A standard airbox would probably be best to avoid heat soak, especially if you don't have a cold air feed running to the induction kit. Take out the resonator box from the inner wing so that the airbox will be taking the air from the inner wing as the air will be colder

yeah il b taking out the resonator box at the weekend .......
hopefully collect the air box tat day as well any body got one for sale?
are you running twin down pipes or just primary?

according to the book its the whole catback

they dont do the down pipes only single turbo ones

I just have the primary downpipe on mine... then centre pipe and backbox... If I was getting both downpipes, then I would go for a 3" system all the way through (not sure if HKS do a 3" version of the centre pipe and back box or if its a 2.5" standard replacement only)... I have a standard airbox in the shed (dublin south) if you are stuck for 1..

go with the HKS Hi-Power..Great exhaust..I have primary turbo cat back and a great rumble out of it and great noise when your in the big turbo :smokin:

When you get it mapped get a walbro fuel pump and she will be backfiring no problem :multijump:Have an apexi induction kit on mine and a hks ssqv..it would prob be good getting a boost gauge if your getting turbo back to make sure there is no boost spike

As robbie said you would only need a de-cat down on the primary side as there is no cat on the secondary pipe..if you want the while ting couture auto has a sims full twin donpipe kit but it was brand new and wass 600 notes last time i asked

They has it for there 01 leggy they had but they sold it so sure they still have it..there a trader on this..good luck with the car mate :subaru:
