Has the same problem a few weeks back in a 99 wrx, upgraded the plugs to platinum ones and cleaned the ht lead connections.....problem went straight away......

aswell the temps were having at the moment mite not help with heat soak

Goodman John L, at least your heading In the right direction

Loads of possible causes , in my experience , it's normally a sensor starting to go.
I have often found the 02 sensor a cause for poor running , bit lumpy or hesitation .

Yeah probably doesn't like going that way John! This weather is a lot tougher on the cars. My oil is running hotter all week. You replaced a few sensors already I believe so it might be fuel cut if its repeatable at same speed and rpm. When bob rawle mapped mine I had it in 5th gear when coming on boost at same speed and rpm. But that was much more like a misfire than hesitation. Check and clean mad and airfilter and check your intercooler pipework and boost lines etc that all is good

Thanks folks and yes air con was on all the way to Cork and all the way back this slight hesitation has being there for a long time I was wondering could it be a glitch in the map now its not a big deal I just don't want to hurt the engine by ignoring it thanks. PS O2 sensor is only a few months old cheers.

Ah come on joe, FFS

I was actually waiting all day for dave leggy to answer this.

As he would answer in a lot nicer way then I would.

John I am very surprised at you, you have been around this forum along time now and come our with the strangest questions but this takes the biscuit.

A Subaru mahcanic couldn't answer your question even after driving your car or sometimes even after pluging it to a laptop, nevermind on a forum of all places

john what johnny is trying to say is it could be anything causing it and impossible to tell over a forum

I find it funny as hell really, maybe I need to use more smilies ,

Do you really want me to comment on your situation John, I honestly can as I've been around scoobies a good few years now but just so you know before hand there could be upto 2 dozen explanations for your problem.
