Well I can smell it when I am in the car and also my mate said he can smell it when he is behind me! It is also strong enough when the car is on and standing outside of the car!

I would get that looked at asap lad, i wouldn't expect overfuelling to give you that kind of problem inside the cab etc while driving...

Sorry lads it was once when I was in the car but it's not usually like that! But I will get it checked out!

Thanks for the welcome lads

Howdy,
The general rules of scooby ownership are,
Run her on Maxol E5 unleaded (99ron) just incase she is prone to detination!
Service regularly with genuine subaru oil filter and a good oil (Mobil S 10w40 or motul 15w50) there are loads of others, I just know them off the top of my head!
Don't rev her like a vteck, use the turbo torque,
Don't do dohnuts, all the oil will go to one side of the sump and if the oil pick up just sucks up air, you will get oil starvation and your bearings and turbo can suffer! a baffled sump will solve this issue,
Let her warm up before driving her on, ie. start up and leave home keep the revs low and only gentle throttle, untill the enging temp is normal, then boot it,
Let her cool down after a drive, ie. take it handy for the last few minutes, keep the revs low and only gentle throttle
Typically you should remap to accomidate new engine mods, to get the most out of them, it's wrth it even if it's just for piece of mind,
Scoobies are like lego, alot of bits are interchangeable, so an sti type r VF28 would bolt straight on (to get the most out of your remap) newage brembos just bolt on,
Scoobies are criticised for their tendancy to understeer, simply dialing in some/all the negative camber on the front wheels will cure that, but a good geometry setup would be best!
Lastly, I would highly recommend using a mechanic with a motorsport back ground, ie. who actually run a race car, there really isn't any substatute for experiance!

Hope you enjoy the club man! and €50 upgrades you to full membership which gets you invited to all the monthly meets, and events, and entitles you to subsidies for events like karting, rolling roads days, trackdays, etc etc

Wow that is pretty much everything I needed to know! I wouldn't be driving her hard anyway as it is like my baby :icon_biggrin: I will definetly get it remapped because it will ease my mind knowing that she is mapped right! I didnt realise that they are soooo interchangeable, which is a great ting!

Thanks again Dan :icon_pray:

Once you look after her properly,
You can drive her as hard as you like, We have a heavily subsidised trackday coming up in september (members only) where you can see what see can do and expore the limits of your and your cars abilities in a controlled and safe enviroment!
See you around man!
Dan

I do be very carefull,
It's Ciaran rs/ra you want to look out for,
If his Irish Touring Car Championship (ITCC) driving or his Karting is anything to go by, He'd drive though you as soon as look at you!
