thanks for the welcome lads.one crowd got back to me there alright.2500 on a wrx!!couldnt quote on an sti!!ha ha.ill chance another few now today but its not lookin good :icon_cry:out of curiosity i asked for a quote on astra opc.just over 1000!!i was quoted 1000 by hibernian for an opc nearly 2 YEARS ago!!!what a bunch of gangsters these insurance companys are!!we really are getting royally screwed in this country :icon_mad:
 
do u mind me asking who your insured with?just off the phone with britton now.only 1 company willing to insure me she said and itll be around 3500!!she reckons u want to over 25 to get any bit of a competitive rate!! :icon_hang:
 
Yeah i had a 1.6 Levin which i was paying €750 tpft for when i was 22, never got a quote for the scooby, just bought it.

Rang them, told them to swap it over and they charged me €555 euro for six months. Renewal came in at €1330 the following year.

IMO your wasting your time ringing them randomly for quotes, i did it for other cars a couple of years ago and was having the same problems.

The only way to do it is tell them you've bought it and they legally have to cover you.
 
Hi there welcome along,
if your present insurer wont insure you on the impreza tell them you would like it in writing stating the reason why they wont insure you, they hate putting anything on paper in case they get sued for discrimination :1poke:

just seen this, it was with quinn direct and i have 5 points..but am with them for over 5 years.. hope ya get sorted..
