Welcome along Murf!!!! Fair Play for joining up!!!
Hawk Eye is lovely but honestly I wouldnt go doing that to the engine!!!!
Surely a supercharger would be a better bet than a 1.6 turbo????

Failte mo chara.

Seemenly more trouble than its worth.Save the pennies for 2ltr.

Think you should remove induction. No benefit and could cause problems with nct re omissions.I had major problems trying to get 1.6 passed

:smokin:

Typically, scoobies are like lego, lots of interchangable bits
I'd be real interested to know if 2.5 NA heads and cams are the same as 1.6's
Only a 66mm stroke on the EJ16, so should be revvy as well,
You could almost certainly spec pistons for higher compression ratio,
All the makings of a nice unusual spec

First mods I would do if I were you, is STI struts, Whiteline lowering springs and Anti Roll Bars
and either STI brembos or WRX front and rear brake calipers and discs!
Then look into the above engine options!
What ever you do, have fun man!

welcome to the club mate!!!!
i know what you mean with wrx insurance but to try put a turbo on a 1.6 will leave your insurance void.....

Welcome along fella .

Honestly opinion on working on the 1.6 , , Dont , you will struggle to break 100 bhp and it will cost a fortune ,

if you consider waitin a year(cheaper insurance) or 2 and buy a 2.0 r sport as i have myself your lookin at 160-170 bhp region which aint slow by any means , then you can consider supercharging it and change out internals and exhausts etc and pull over 200 bhp easy , been doin a bit of research into this route myself and came across a company from australia called Raptor who do bolt on kits for the ej20 na and performance seems pretty good ,

best of luck
