Just wanted to introduce myself and my new car. Only bought it on Friday in Galway and drove it back. Heard about the forum when I rang to get my insurance policy updated and Vitalie was the person I got on the line. His words when he checked the reg plate on the system was "Nice car. I have an STI" Spent the 1/2hr chatting to him and he was really cool giving me info about the forum and how to get hold of parts etc. Really sound guy and will have to try to put a face to the name soon.

2004 Subaru Impreza WRX with 99,000miles on the clock. Gold STI wheels and STI steering wheels are the only mods done by previous owner. Stock engine etc. I will take more pictures and update along the way.

Welcome to the club, black blobs are in fashion at the moment. Lovely car enjoy!

Thanks for the welcome and kind words guys. I very nearly bailed on the idea but just having it this weekend and driving around the Wicklow mountains area completely got rid of any doubts!

No way! That's gas. As mentioned, I am on Backroads as well. The 350Z is a beautiful machine. Never driven one!

Short term plans: new K&N drop in air filter, put my own Focal speakers, Rockford Fosgate amplifier and Pioneer headunit. Sadly the previous previous owner cut the door cards to fit aftermarket Fli speakers from Halfords. I need to sort the door cards out and having leather on them that was cut making it a tad bit more difficult. Also, 4 new Uniroyal Rainsport 3 ordered and will be fitted to the car.

Medium term plans: I am still on the fence about whether to change the colour of the gold wheels to Anthracite. Tbh, the gold is growing on me :)

That's as far as I got :)

Thanks for the kind words peeps. Yea, the gold is growing on me. The alloys had been refurbed recently and tbh, the colour doesnt bother me as once I am inside the car, I can't see it. I never was one for visual mods, so if I have the funds to get them painted, I might just do at a later stage.

Wouldn't touch em man

Might grow on ya

Still bright ice silver prob look good too ????
