House broken into.

Came back this evening at 6 o clock to find the house had been broken into. Broke the back window and took most of the expensive presents, an iPod touch and a few left over dollars. All replaceable just a pain in the arse. They also took the spare keys for both cars. Now they obviously weren't interested in the Subaru as that was here when he broke in. Now my question is where do I go about changing keys and reprogramming them? Mine is a 05 WRX and hers is a 141 c class merc. I was told the my insurance should cover this as they wont was the cost of replacing the car, I am hoping this is the case but we all know the way they work.

thats awful man sorry to hear that. scumbags. stealing xmas presents is a new low..

I know. 2 of the things he took were fake tan and an old purple Nokia 3210(sentimental reason for that one, I'm not that behind the times!) so if anyone sees a knacker tanned up to the last with an old phone let me know.

Omfg man, thats the worse, breaking in week before xmas... :( glad the car is in there, i believe any authorised dealer should be able to make new programming for the keys?

sorry to hear that.
it happened to me before, they destroy every door inside the house (even though the were not locked)
and took only few small bits, when there was a expensive TVs and laptops laying around
the cops came in looked around and promise to come back to take fingerprints ..never to be seen again

Sorry to hear man, had a family member robbed 2 nights ago pricks robbed 10+ houses in the area in the one day/night. Sadly my family member locked the doors and they kicked them in and wrecked everything house looked like a tank drove threw it, nothing was left untouched they even destroyed the crimbo tree. :angry1: :new_2gunsfiring_v1:

Sorry to hear that.

happened to few houses in Galway, cop's will do nothing I'm afraid

brother own car was stolen last wk and still not found

Sorry to hear, a girl my missus works with had a close call 2 days ago. She was in work and her fella was at home, he hears knock on door and answers it, 2 lads trying to sell some crap to him, he declines and goes back inside. 2 mins later he hears screaming from next door. His elderly neighbour didn't answer the door so the lads started tearing the front door down at 3pm, broad daylight. He ran out to see what was going on but they jumped in a van and went. It's awful what's going on around the country

Sorry to hear about your troubles Patrick.

All one can hope for is that the next house they try has a big angry dog waiting for them or an owner with a 12" who lets them have both barrels (in the gut)... and lets hope the ambulance takes a while to get there.
