The price of the barrel may have halved but apparently there are a lot more middle men now buying and sellin, taking their cut before the oil is finally bought by an actual oil company... Thus the end price is the same... Bit convenient that its up to the same price as 18months ago if you ask me but thats what I heard was going on...
