Sunday Drivers
I have a 01 B4 and nothing beat her during the snow i am up in donegal and i was trying to get her stuck driving around in -18 down back roads and she went through it like it was a normal day but she is a bit worse for wear now i cracked the spoiler trying to slide around a bend and cliped a tree. also i have a cracked break disc its rubbing bad and i have messed up the control switch for the hids evertime i turn her off the lights start flickering like mad she almost looks like a fecking cop car lol lol lol just wondering if anyone else is going through the same because i live in letterkenny and it was funny to see the only cars on the road during the bad snow was the scoopys. :653: :subaru:

Was only saying during the bad weather that there seems to be a lot more Subaru's on the road! Mine held up grand until a fool decided she was going to pull out from a T junction directly in front of me causing me to have to brake hard otherwise i would have gone straight into her. That caused the back of the car to fishtail and my rear passenger wheel hit the path kerb hard. :angry1:

Even had a Garda ask me to tow their Fiesta patrol car up a slight hill that they were seriously struggling on, so hopefully that will keep me in his good books for a little while.

Ye lads i had mine out too and clipped a kerb but was buying new wheels off john l, so i though f it who cares, since found out the wheels are goin second hand for over a grand. i had lots of fun last year too as my flight got cancelled so we messed around the airport but she needed a service after that and does again now!!! Im having difficulties starting her, plenty of battery but it wont kick over unless i attach my battery booster, heads wrecked but she's gettin serviced friday!! Wasn't great going through the deep snow on hills where everyone was stuck, passed a car full of scangers in a civic who couldnt get over a speed bump. i pulled into all the snow in the middle and over the bump with a big laughed at grin as they all just stared at me passing with that gonna have to get out and push look in their eye lol

AWD was the only job these last few weeks. It was great to hear the adverts on the radio advertising subaru too.

Was talking to the guy whose garage still has the 1.6 impreza i traded in and he said he had it out for his own use because nothing else would travel the roads. Subaru is great, be they modest 1.6 or sti's. They don't get half the credit they deserve.

we have a nice hill up to my house.. most of the cars were left at the bottom every day - i was up and down not a bother... that week i loved my :subaru: even more!!

i picked my car up christmas eve from longford and it was amazing every hill i came to cars where stuck i just drove around them in confidence ,i used to have a rwd skyline and belive me a 1 degree incline and it all went sideways, scoobs are very cool in the snow (but awd doesnt help you to stop)!!!!!!

Im on 6 jump starts and counting in 2 weeks. :wall: and now my headunit wont turn on.

Absolutely brill, but the headlight cleaners got stuck outside their housing

At minus 10 to minus thirteen the exhaust worried me a bit cos it was a bit blue for about 10 seconds after not been started for a few days

I used to dred the snow and ice in my old car but now im Smug McSmugerson going anywhere I wish in the bad weather!!! :subaru:

they are definitley one of the best cars for adverse weather conditions could not fault mine at all over the bad weather

mine held up great. cept for the slightly buckeled wheel. which has a new one now :) its amazing what 2 mph into a kurb does :(
