without been smart or anything , you cant , looked into a load of options including super charging my 2.0rx , was a million times easier to buy an sti in the first place , if the main reason you bought the 1.5 was for insurance reasons then best thing to do is wait until you can properly insure a wrx or sti, dont want to be the one to piss on your cornflakes but its as simple as that

well supercharging isnt a waste of time as it will yield notable power gains , coupled with exhaust and induction kit and a more aggressive set of cams would raise a standard 160 bhp 2.0 r sport to just below wrx power levels (210 been the best i found ), with proper mapping etc , not alot of them done but had researched it extensively and it is possible , as for a 1.5 it might go from 100 to 140/150 bhp but ya'd be in to it for at least 10k ,

when I was looking into this a 4 year old sti was around the 40 k mark so ten into my 2 litre was nearly value for money
