How do you remove window tints..?

Yeah.... you're all right.... it's a tint within the glass! :wall: Got stuck into it last night with a razor balde and it aint a vinyl on the glass... it's a laminated tint!

Looks like new glass might be needed!

I'd rather clear glass Ken... hoping to put a cage in and have the rear "X" brace which looks savage when you can see it thought the rear window! Also I'm not a fan of such dark tinits and I've never liked them on the Type R... if it do get clear I'll be putting a very, very light tint on all windows for a certain amount of privacy afterwards! :thumbsup:
 
I dont think you will be able to get rear sides or rear screen that aint tinted, apart from the rear wiper, something telling me that the rear screen from a coupe and from a 4dr are different in shape or height or size...
just thinking on it now jaime, wonder would the rare enuf 1.5 2dr impreza be your only option man???? i nearly 100% that all windows on them are clear...
dont know where you would start to look, maybe mcevors...they are a handy panel source for typers so im sure breakers were interested in them
 
jus a quick idea from outside the box , but do u have glass cover on insurance , if u knew somwone in the buisness cough cough , could they replace it ( if there was i big stone chip or crack ) and charge it to insurance .

brand new rear window , no tint , and wont cost a penny

Dont think insurance covers side or back windows does it?? it usually only called Windsreen cover.. P1 mite be findable 2nd hand but think a wrx 2dr would be like trying to find a generous Cavan man:)
 
Yeah... I was thinking bout trying to source a 1.5 coupe... tricky enough I'd say! Spent most of the day trying to find a breaker of a P1... hens teeth! :wall:

Other option is I get a set off a WRC through WRC Spares... Polycarbonate I think... but they may do a regular glass one two for the rare GRP N 2 door cars that Prodrive built. Don't know... I'll have to make a call to em on that!

I've a cousin working as an Insurance accessor.... Hmmm... :ponder2: possible claim time! I thnk they'll cover side windows too.... but they might be suspicous if they come out and find 3 windows smashed!

Other option... ring Subaru Ireland and price up clear windows... they must be able to either stock P1 ones or 1.5 coupe ones... pricey enough I'd say!
