rite lads as ye know i'm looking to change from the wrx and yes you better believe it i'm not thinking of buying one of these yokes however my sis is and I was just wondering if anyone on here has any comments good or bad or things to look out for on a test flight. thanks

Used to have one Anto. Good car gave me no trouble at all in 3 yearsbut they are very low for getting in and out. Can be sore on the back. Some are known to give trouble with the internal fuse board which can be expensive to fix. Never happened to mine thank god. Overall tho I found it to be a good buy. Not to bad on juice and comfortable to drive.

The hydraulic tappits can be an issue and pricey

They will be clearly audible though if they are on their way out

Friends sister had one and loved it but as above the electrics did give trouble. Hers was within warranty at the time and was covered so i would think most affected could have been taken back in and fixed before the warranty ran out. Drove it once and was surprised by the handling huge improvement on the mk1 coupe.

Great car,ex had one and sister has one now. Door locks can have a mind of their own as actuator goes wrong,€295 from hyundai dealers or €40 from dealers in korea off ebay. No other issues, 2.0 is best,1.6 a little sluggish. Low servicing costs. s is base model. Try get fx with leather. And never believe digital display on remaining miles til fuel runs out. Not at all accurate.

Had one for 2 an a half years. Never had any trouble except for the central locking which was mentioned above! Grand car other than that tho

The girlfriend has one at the moment and has had it almost 3 years and hasnt missed a beat. Passanger window gave her a bit of jip but as said above only downside is that its low to get in and out of and with the girlfriend 7 1/2 months pregnant its not ideal. Oh and tall people cannot sit comfortably in the back.

Hey lads,
Girlfriend is on about one of these too was wondering what kind of MPG are we talking? She has a 206 at the moment so doesnt want something that will be heavy on the pocket atthe current prices like! :icon_hang:
Thanks

Unless the 206 is a diesel, she wont lose much on the economy. Only thing more expensive will be the tax.

Anto, I think from 05 onwards they were all given blacked headlights and clear indicators and re-designed inside. Try get an FX Evo model with leather, 6 CD changer & sweet alloys. Think they've a sunroof and/or A/C but not 100% sure.

bit of an update, thanks for the comments. the sis ended up buying an 05 d reg for €6000 23k on the clock. few scuff marks here and there but all in all it seems to be a bargain
